Understand HubSpot objects, properties, and records, and how they connect in HubSpot CRM
You must understand the HubSpot data model if you want to work with this CRM. The main data pieces are:
1. Object
2. Property
3. Record
4. Value
Objects such as contacts and deals represent business relationships and processes.
Each object is made up of individual records that can be linked with other object records—for example, John Doe as a contact linked with Company A. These records store information in properties and track interactions through activities.
And each property has values, i.e. exact data about the record. For example, Company A was founded in 1988. In this case property is "Year Founded", and the value is "1988".
Every HubSpot account comes with standard objects, properties, and activities, but depending on your subscription, you can also create custom properties and objects.
The data model overview illustrates how your account's unique objects, properties, and activities interconnect, aiding in setting up imports, reports, and automation more efficiently.
This overview also provides insights into the usage of your objects, activities, and properties.
